I’ve been striving for zen and taking mindfulness seriously since my first cog rehab therapist said, “Be kind to yourself,” with an inflection that resonated.

I’ve done yoga, meditation, Headspace, hypnosis, and many others, and found the most success with progressive muscle relaxation, transcendental mediation and immersing myself in what brings me joy.

Wellness is about self care for the body and mind. Why beat myself up when I have not let myself down? I was my best, and for a time only, advocate and that brings me some peace, but self-care can always be improved!
